This is a 10 week Cognitive Behavioural Therapy group programme for people experiencing anxiety in social situations.
You will learn about why social anxiety develops and what keeps the problem going. Then, with your peers, you will gradually start to address these anxieties together in a safe and non-judgemental environment.
Tackling social anxiety with other people who struggle with the same difficulties as you means you are facing your fears from session 1. You feel less isolated with your problems and gain a quicker sense of having mastered the problem. People who have attended the group have had an overwhelmingly positive response to it. They have acknowledged that agreeing to be in a group of people when you have social anxiety is the first hurdle, but that learning from peers has been the most helpful part of the process.
The group runs on Monday evenings (6.15-7.45pm). You can contact us on 0300 123 1156 to find out when the next group is due to begin, or check out the latest news section on our home page.
