The group is for people who are interested in understanding more about their emotional experiences and to build their skills for coping with painful emotions.
The group include three main modules – coping with distress, regulating emotions and interpersonal skills. Each module will begin with an introduction to mindfulness, including what this is, how it helps and some specific mindfulness exercises.
People can join the group at the beginning of any module.
Each session is 90 minutes – from 5:45pm-7:15pm
After session 6, there will be a break for a week.
The group aims to help people develop understanding and skills around managing their emotions. There will be homework each week to support people in practising the ideas we talk about.
