Back on Track Workshop: Keeping the Balance

The workshop is a one-off, 2 hour session. It looks to help: 
– normalise the experiences and struggles of being a carer through group discussion
– signpost to other in-house groups & workshops, helpful external groups and organisations, 
– provide psycho-education on CBT techniques most relevant to the group, including mindfulness and relaxation.

Carer’s Network Hammersmith & Fulham Carer’s Support Group
Support groups meet weekly at locations across Hammersmith & Fulham. These informal
groups give carers a chance to meet other people in similar situations, to talk about their
experiences and alleviate some of the isolation felt by many carers. Also for carers with
learning disabilities, substance misuse and mental health conditions.

Action on Disability
This service exists to support adults, their family or carers who may be entitled to or are
receiving Adult Social Care. HAFAD (Hammersmith and Fulham Action for Disability)
provides the service and it is available to those who live in or use services of Hammersmith
& Fulham Council.

UK website that provides information on how to get a Carer’s assessment and cope as a
carer. Also a forum for individuals to add their experiences and read for support. Offers
expert telephone advice and support service.
